Lawrence Community Shelter is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, and mental illness. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can access the support and resources they need to rebuild their lives. We are committed to making a positive impact on our community by addressing the root causes of homelessness and offering comprehensive solutions.?
September 2023: City of Lawrence, Douglas County, and Lawrence Community Shelter move to shared governance model.
