Event Description:

BE INFORMED. GET INVOLVED.

Please join us Saturday, March 7, for a two-part event, held in conjunction with the Douglas County Voter Education Coalition, our Mid-Session Legislative Update and VEC City Commission Candidate Forum.

PART 1: MID-SESSION UPDATE - 7:30 - 8:40 A.M.
Part one of the morning's agenda will serve as the second installment in the Chamber's annual Legislative Series. Guests will hear a firsthand update from our local delegation regarding pressing issues thus far in the session and have a short Q&A exchange with the legislators.

There is a charge to attend the update and reservations are required. A continental breakfast will be served, with coffee, water and juice.

PART 2: CANDIDATE FORUM - 8:45 - 9:30 A.M.
Following the legislative update, guests are invited and encouraged to remain for the VEC Candidate Forum. There are three seats on the Lawrence City Commission open for the April 7 general election.

Guests will be introduced to the final six candidates and hear their respective stances on community issues via a Q&A session, moderated by representatives of the VEC.

There is no charge to attend the Candidate Forum and reservations are not required. Please arrive no earlier than 8:30 A.M. for this portion to allow ample time to transition from the update.
