Event Description:
It’s National County Government Month and the first Douglas County Government Day event! This free community event is 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in the Open Pavilion at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 21st and Harper Streets.
This family friendly event has touch-a-truck activities with equipment from Public Works, Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management, Consolidated Fire District No. 1, Maintenance and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical.
There will be two local food trucks and live music with Great Plains Media.
Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health will be providing free blood pressure checks and health information. Information about the Treatment and Recovery Center, Engage Douglas County, voting, public safety and much more!
