Candlelight Vigil for Domestic Violence Awareness Month to be held Tuesday, October 7th - South Park “We will rise up as a community to say that violence against anyone is unacceptable.” ~Claire VanLandingham, 2015~ 5:30 - 6:30 Clothesline Project & Resource Fair Opening Words Speakers Remember Honor Act Candlelight Moment of Silence
The community is invited to a Candlelight Vigil hosted by Claire's Community to mark Domestic Violence Awareness Month and shed light on the effects of violence on the community. The vigil will provide an opportunity for the community to remember victims, honor survivors, and explore ways to act toward making a difference.
The program begins at 6:30 PM with live music and speakers and ends at 7:30 with candle lighting. Our candlelight vigil is a way to remember the victims of relationship violence, to honor the survivors, and to act to create change.
