African Dance & Yoga with Drums

Africa Yoga Project is coming to Lawrence, KS for the first time ever to share their story and mission to empower, elevate and employ youth and marginalized communitties throughout Africa.

Scott and Kennedy, two teachers from Uganda, will lead this blended class and bring their contagious energy!. African Dance & Yoga with Drums is a fusion of traditional dances from different cultural regions in Uganda. It's accompanied with traditional instruments such as drum and whistle. This class will invigorate and inspire you to connect and contribute in a powerful new way! ALL AGES AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS WELCOME

Class is followed by a viewing of a short film about Africa Yoga Project and an opportunity to listen to Scott and Kennedy share their stories about their journey into yoga. Meet new friends, make new connections!
